analysis

The data gathered at the event on the 14th of October was helpful in enabling us to establish the key issues in the community that need to be addressed.

For each of the activities, we focused on getting a good picture of the current situation in Stretford.

In our attempt to get a better understanding of these issues, we made sure we engaged in a conversation with the residents as they undertook the activities at the engagement event. This, in turn, meant that in addition to the data, we had smaller and more anecdotal accounts of the way the people of Stretford perceive it. A benefit of working on a one-to-one scale whenever possible, as we had outlined in our manifesto.

By asking about the routes that people took to the town hall, we wanted to see how people navigate around the intersection of the A5145 and the A56.

We supplemented our findings from the community engagement event with our own analysis of the assets that the community has in Stretford. In a sense, this was an attempt to take stock of what the community has and what it is missing.
